Morpheus8 is a medical aesthetic treatment that should be administered by a qualified healthcare provider. This would include a physician, or an acupuncturist who has been properly trained and certified in the use of the treatment. Since different states have different regulations for scope of practice for different professionals, it is best to check with your state’s regulatory board if you have questions.

Morpheus8 treatments are generally well-tolerated and are not considered to be painful. Some patients may experience discomfort, this is usually minimal and temporary. We also provide patients with Pronox to help cope with the pain should they need it. 

 Morpheus8 Face is specifically designed for treatment on the face, jaw and neck.

Morpheus8 Body is designed for treatment on the body, such as the thighs, buttocks, and stomach.

While it is possible to use Morpheus8 Face on other areas of the body, it is not designed or recommended for use on the body.

Aestheticians are not medical professionals, and therefore are not allowed to perform medical procedures, including micro needling, in New York State. While NPs are considered medical professionals, New York State requires that they limit their scope of practice to areas in which they were specifically certified by NYSDOH. Medical Aesthetics is not a field in which NPs are certified in New York state.

The length of a treatment depends on the area being treated and the goals of the treatment. In general, treatments can range anywhere between 30 minutes to a couple of hours. 

Morpheus8 is generally well-tolerated and has a low risk of side effects. Some patients may experience mild swelling or redness after treatments, but these are mostly temporary. Other potential side effects may include skin irritation and  bruising.
