Frequently Asked Questions
Morpheus8 is a medical aesthetic treatment that should be administered by a qualified healthcare provider. Since different states have different regulations for scope of practice for different professionals, it is best to check with your state’s regulatory board if you have questions.
Aestheticians, are not medical professionals, and may not have the necessary training or expertise to safely administer Morpheus8. It is important to seek treatment from a qualified healthcare provider who has the knowledge and experience to safely perform the procedure and manage any potential risks or complications.
It is always best to consult with your medical doctor to determine the most appropriate treatment for your specific concerns and goals. They will be able to recommend the best treatment option for you based on your individual needs and concerns.
Morpheus8 micro-needling is a medical procedure. In New York State, the practice of medicine, including medical aesthetics, is regulated by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). According to the NYSDOH, only licensed medical professionals, such as physicians and acupuncturists, are permitted to perform micro needling, which is a medical procedure.
Aestheticians are not medical professionals, and therefore are not allowed to perform medical procedures, including micro needling, in New York State. While NPs are considered medical professionals, New York State requires that they limit their scope of practice to areas in which they were specifically certified by NYSDOH. Medical Aesthetics is not a field in which NPs are certified in New York state.
Morpheus8 is an invasive medical procedure. It is important to seek this treatment from a qualified healthcare provider who has the depth of knowledge and experience to safely perform the procedure and manage any potential risks or complications. If you are considering radio frequency micro needling in New York State, it is important to consult with a qualified physician to determine if it is the right treatment for you and to discuss any potential risks or side effects.
Morpheus8 Face is specifically designed for treatment on the face and neck, while Morpheus8 Body is designed for treatment on the body, such as the thighs, buttocks, and stomach. While it is possible to use Morpheus8 Face on other areas of the body, it is not designed or recommended for use on the body.
Morpheus8 Face uses 12 to 24 micro-needles to deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy up to 4 mm deep into the skin and subdermal tissue, which helps to stimulate collagen production, shrink fat cells, and improve the appearance of the skin. Morpheus8 Body, on the other hand, uses a larger applicator with 40 micro-needles to deliver RF energy to even deeper layers of the skin and sub-dermal adipose tissue, up to 8 mm, which helps to improve the appearance of cellulite and tighten and firm the skin.
Using Morpheus8 Face on the body may not produce the same results as Morpheus8 Body, as the treatment/equipment is designed specifically for the face and neck and does not get to the depth or type of treatment needed to treat body areas. It is important to use the appropriate treatment/equipment for the area being treated in order to achieve optimal results.
It is always best to consult with a qualified physician to determine the most appropriate treatment for your specific concerns and goals. They will be able to recommend the best treatment option for you based on your individual needs and concerns.
